With most of the game being a tight defensive struggle with turnovers and punts, it was late in the second half that the G-Fit Pink Foxes scored a touchdown to go up 6-0.
The Lady Spartans were unable to respond as with the lead in hand the Pink Foxes turned up the pressure and agression heading into the end of the game. They were able to score once more in the waning seconds of the game to seal the Title 13-0 after a successful PAT.
Coach for the Pink Foxes Charles Johnson expressed his pride in the players. "It's amazing to see these women go from not knowing anything about football 6 months ago to becoming champions. It is a testament to their level of interest, commitment and tenacity as competitive athletes."
