Fash|Art Participants to Win Over $5,000 in Cash & Prizes!

Nassau, Bahamas - The Bahamas’ premier showcase and competition for new and emerging fashion designers, visual artist and models, is in its second year and bigger than ever! On Saturday 7th July, 2012, interested persons are welcomed to Doongalik Studios on Village Road north, for a major presentation and the only registration session. During this time, prospective participants will learn more about the show and the dynamic opportunities.

This year’s showcase has been extended to two days of mixed media art, high fashion and entertainment, for large crowds of spectators, local and international celebrities and regional and international media. Beginning on November 2nd, night one is dubbed “Cocktails, Couture + Canvas” and will feature participating visual artist competing for the “Jackson Burnside Emerging Visual Artist” award, a signature cocktail lounge and local boutiques selling top fashion and beauty pieces. Night two dubbed “FashionNXT”, will be the weekend’s grand showcase. Participating fashion designers and models will rock the runway and compete in their respective categories for the coveted titles of “Harl Taylor Emerging Fashion Designer” award and “The Next Face” model competition award, respectively.

Fash|Art objective is to provide a platform of exposure, business and marketing opportunities for emerging Bahamian talents in fashion and visual arts. Through a four-week seminar series, we hope to engage all participants and provide them with ample opportunities for a sustainable future. Winners will also receive $1,000 cash, branding packages, business opportunities with event sponsors and much more!
