Climax @ Blu proved to be one of the most successful summer parties so far for 2012.

Climax, the party, held at Blu Restaurant, Bar & Lounge had to be shut down at 3am because there were just too many people occupying the space.

Taran Mackey, one of the organizers of the June 23rd event said:

“The party was extremely successful. Firstly, the venue was beautiful. Lots of people have never been to Blu so the experience was awesome for so many patrons. Secondly we had about 650 patrons on the night; both general admission and VIP were jam-packed.”

DJ Fynes and More 94 FM's Big L were the DJ and MC team for the night.

Police presence was heavy at Climax @ Blu, as was private security.

“Notwithstanding one minor incident, we didn’t have any altercations; just good clean partying [which is] so rare these days.”

Taran went on to say that the party was meant to be an improvement on a previous event that he helped host at Bambu.

“We thought with the right Venue and a very popular DJ we could throw one of the biggest events of the summer.”

That it was, with about 450 people on the ground floor at Blu and 200 getting their climax on upstairs in the VIP areas.

“We were overwhelmed by the amount of support,” Taran said.

One of the patrons, Dominique, said: “Some of my friends said this party was too ‘bougie’. But that’s what I want!”

Taran mentioned a few ways that he could have improved the party, including free shots for those who waited on the lengthy line to enter Climax @ Blu.

“We would have had a bit more security and had an express line, at some points during the night the line was a bit long. I would have also provided some gimmick (maybe free shots) for people on the long line. I would have also pre sold tickets.”

So, when is Climax 2?

Taran and the rest of the team that brought you Climax @ Blu will begin working on it in two weeks’ time.
