BOL-ANIM.gif The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, arrived in Cochabamba today to participate in the forty-second regular session of the General Assembly, to be held from June 3 to 5 in this city. The Secretary General's initial remarks were to thank President Evo Morales and the Bolivian people for their hospitality in hosting this summit meeting of the OAS. On his arrival, the Secretary General spoke to the press awaiting him at the airport and emphasized the importance and timeliness of the theme chosen by the Bolivian government for this session of the General Assembly: "Food Security with Sovereignty." He underscored that the 34 Member States would sign the Social Charter of the Americas at the event, in the presence of President Evo Morales...
