Bimini Bay paying up in1.5m work permit row

The$1.5 million owed by the Bimini Bay Resort and Marina and its developer the Capo Group for outstanding work permit fees is to be paid back to The Bahamas at least in part,The Nassau Guardiancan report, as the deputy prime minister reveals the company has agreed to cough up"some of the money."
An investigation was launched back in December 2008 by the auditor general who recommended that the multi-million dollar luxury development owed$1.5 million in unpaid fees to the government.
