Loretta-Butler Turner FNM Free National Movement



Mrs Loretta-Butler Turner was born in Nassau to Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Butler. She is the grand-daughter of the first Bahamian Governor-General, Sir Milo Butler and his wife, Lady Butler.  Mrs Turner received her primary and secondary education at St. Andrew’s School, Nassau and her college education at the New England Institute graduating with a bachelor’s degree in science (Summa Cum Laude).  A funeral director, embalmer and business administrator by trade, Mrs Turner was the first Bahamian female to have achieved a bachelor of science degree in mortuary sciences.

 

Alex Storr PLP Progressive Liberal Party

 



Born in Nassau on May 7th 1971, Henry Alexander Leon Storr is the youngest of the four children of Henry and Dillis Storr (nee Burrows). He is married to the beautiful Nadia nee Martin and they are the proud parents of three lovely children Alexandra, Alexander, and Alyssa.   Mr. Storr is a member of the Bahamas Hotel Association and the Long Island Chamber of Commerce. Politically, he has been a very active member of the Progressive Liberal Party in which he served in many capacities, most recently as the National Deputy Chairman. He is currently the General Manager of Henry F. Storr Electric Company.


 Mario Cartwright DNA Democratic National Alliance

 





Mario Cartwright was born in Scrub Hill, Long Island on April 7th, 1963 to renowned educators Everette and Rosalind Cartwright. His parents were government teachers, who taught at various schools throughout the archipelago.  Cartwright is a well-rounded Bahamian, having grown up on several islands, including Long Island, Great Inagua, Grand Bahama and Eleuthera. His forefathers first set foot on Long Island soil in the late 1700’s.  In 2000, Cartwright gave up his career and moved from Grand Bahama to his native Long Island to pursue various business interests. He is the owner of the world famous Flying Fish Marina and a wholesale fuel distribution company in Long Island.  Cartwright is a former member of the Sunrise Grand Bahama Rotary Club and is a “Paul Harris Fellow.” He is also the immediate past president of the Long Island Chamber of Commerce. During his tenure, Cartwright was effective to bringing the plight of Long Island to the national platform via print and electronic media.   Cartwright enjoys boating, fishing and watching movies. He is married to C. Claudia Cartwright.
