Dion Foulkes FNM Free National Movement

Dion Alexander Foulkes was born in Nassau in 1956. He attended St. Thomas More Primary School and R. M. Bailey High School in Nassau, and graduated from Indiana University in the US with a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in accounting. He is a lawyer and member of The Bahamas Bar.

 

 Melanie Griffin PLP Progressive Liberal Party

Mrs. Griffin received her early education at St. Joseph’s Primary School, St. Augustine’s College and Government High School, completing her tertiary education at The College of The Bahamas where she received an Associate of Arts Degree. She also obtained a Diploma in Applied Church Music from the Baptist Institute.

 

Maurice Smith DNA Democratic National Alliance

Maurice Keith Smith was born in Nassau. A born again Christian, he is a member of Abundant Life Bible Church, with a continuing mandate of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He also enjoys listening to Jazz and Contemporary Gospel Music and continues to mentor young athletes, students and professional and to promote the message that sports is an antidote to crime.
