“A DANCE FOR LIFE 2012” UPCOMING BAHAMAS DANCE & INTERNATIONAL BALLROOM SHOWCASE!

The Bahamas Salsa Social Network is pleased to announce that it will host in association with World Promotions Inc., its Second Annual Bahamas Dance & International Ballroom Showcase under the theme “A Dance for Life 2012” on Saturday, June 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Atlantis Resort & Casino, Imperial Ballroom, Paradise Island.

The Mission of Bahamas Salsa Social Network is to provide the community, especially the youth, with fun and safe entertainment, engaging them in wholesome social activity with a view to mentoring and grooming them to become well rounded citizens.

The Vision of the Network is to succeed at promoting youth and adult dance programmes for local and international competitions and providing a platform for individuals to act as cultural ambassadors abroad, while at the same time producing law-abiding citizens who will make a positive contribution to the future growth of The Bahamas.

One of our purposes is to provide a Community Outreach Programme by the hosting of a weekly “Havana Night” in a safe, friendly environment for the entire family to have fun, exercise and socialize. Our aim is to provide for all ages, the following experience -

(a) a taste of the social fun of dancing;

(b) excellent physical values in maintaining healthy fitness; and

(c) co-ordination and awareness of dance as an enjoyable part of a child’s or adult’s life.

It is also intended that in the not too distant future, dance scholarship opportunities will become available for our youth with an emphasis on training young men as we recognize the need for more positive outlets for them in our community.

“A Dance For Life 2012” will include dancers of all levels from Novice through to Championship. The showcase will cover dance styles including but not limited to Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha, Tango and Waltz. There is something for everyone!

The evening session will feature WORLD CLASS professionals in cabaret as well as the Bahamas Salsa Social Network Dance Team. If you would like to attend this black tie, red carpet event, premium VIP tickets are available now at $200.00 (this includes VIP seating, a three course meal & wine) and general admission tickets are available at $75.00. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be available at the door. You will also be able to enjoy a Salsa After Party. Tables of ten (10) may be purchased at a cost of $2000.00. We also encourage you to join us on Thursday nights at 8:30pm at VIA CAFFE for a Family Night of entertainment food and drinks and a free salsa lesson from 8:30 – 9:30pm.
