Alvin Leo Adderley age 93 years affectionately called "Papa"of Gregory Town, Eleuthera and formerly of Burnt Ground, Long Island will be held on Saturday April 28th, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Gregory Town, Eleuthera. Officiating will be Monsignor John Johnson assisted by other ministers of the clergy. Interment will follow in Gregory Town Public Cemetery, Gregory Town, Eleuthera.
Fondest memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of his children: Godfrey Adderley, Beryl Bastian, Denise and Tyrone McGregor; 30 grandchildren including: Donna Wood, Daniel and Vinnah Adderly, Paul and Ursula Smith, Ricardo and Sheryl Bastian, Loran Bastian, Kevin and Wendy Bastian, Terrance and Maxine Bastian, Quentin and Lenora Bastian, Martin and Alice McGregor, Robie, Kevin, Tony, Tyra, Yarie, Halayna, Hiliary and Holly McGregor, Yvonne, Yvette, Shanell, Ramon, Sylvia, Kevin, Rodger, Shaquel and Shemeko Adderley, Tyrone Bastian, Paul and Donna Bullard; 86 great-grandchildren including: Andre' Jr., Anthea and D'Andrell Wood, Edward and Andrea Wood-Wilson, Keishan Sweeting, Venieshan Smith, Danelys and Vinajah Adderly, Shavado, Sherika, Ricardo Jr., Loran Jr., Nijah, Ryan, Terrenique, Travis, Quentin Jr., Quaid, Lequenta and Lequesha Basian; 5 great great-grandchildren: Hannah Wilson and Lane' Greene; sister: Pearl Adderley; 9 nieces including: Beverly Adderley, Marsha Lambert and Estherletta Adderley; 7 nephews including: Tyrone, Andy and Craig Adderley; host of other relatives friends  including: Father John Johnson, St. Gregory's Church and Choir, Rose and Zenas Mackey, Becky Ellis and Family, Theresa Thompson and Family, The entire Mackey Family, Lorraine Flowers and Family, Michael Johnson and Family, Andre' Wood Sr., The entire Gregory Town Community including Doctors and Nurses, Alice Seymour and Family, Sheltering Arms Prayer Group, Mr. and Mrs. Sydney and Betty Young, The Bahamas Taxi Cab Union, the entire Davis Family and many others too numerous to mention. Viewing will be held in the Celestial Suite at Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium Ltd., Robinson and Soldier Roads on Thursday (TODAY) from 10:00am to 6:00pm and again on Friday from 2:00pm until service time on Saturday at the church in Deep Creek, Eleuthera.
