GENERAL SITUATION: A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE NORTHWEST BAHAMAS MONDAY NIGHT AND DISSIPATE. MEANWHILE, A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL STALLED SOUTH OF THE SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS LATE MONDAY AND WILL GRADUALLY LIFT NORTH ON WEDNESDAY BRINGING SHOWER ACTVITY TO THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST ISLANDS THROUGH FRIDAY. A HIGH PRESSURE CENTER WILL BUILD EASTWARD ACROSS THE BAHAMAS ON TUESDAY, AND SETTLE NORTH OF THE ISLANDS THROUGH SATURDAY. A SURFACE TROUGH WILL MOVE WESTWARD THROUGH THE ISLANDS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
Monday 23rd – Mostly Sunny and Warm during the day with some Cloudiness and Isolated Showers in the Southeast Bahamas associated with a Pre-Frontal Boundary; Maximum Temperature 80°F. Few Clouds with linger at night in the Southeast Bahamas along with Isolated Showers, mainly Fair and quite Mild over the Northwest and Central Bahamas; Minimum Temperature 66ºF. Winds W-NW 15-20 knots in the Northwest and Central Bahamas but gusty at times; Seas 4-6 feet over open waters. Winds W-NW 10-15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas; Seas 3-5 feet over open waters. Small craft should exercise caution in the Northwest and Central Bahamas.
Tuesday 24th –Mostly Sunny, a tad Breezy and Warm during the day with a Slight chance of an Isolated Shower mainly across the Southern Bahamas; Maximum Temperature 78°F. Mainly Fair and Comfortable at night but Few Clouds will linger across the Southeast Bahamas along with an Isolated Shower or two; Minimum Temperature 64°F. Winds NW-N 15 knots during the day becoming N-NE 10-15 knots at night; Seas 3-5 feet during the day decreasing to 2-4 feet overnight.
Wednesday 25th – Partly Cloudy and Breezy in the Central and Southeast Bahamas during the day with occasional Scattered Showers, Mostly Sunny and Warm in the Northwest Bahamas; Maximum Temperature 78°F. Fair and Mild in the Northwest Bahamas at night, Breezy with Some Cloudiness across the Southern Bahamas and Isolated passing Showers; Minimum Temperature 67°F. Winds NE-E 10-15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas; Seas 2-4 feet over open waters. Winds NE’LY 15-20 knots in the Central and Southeast Bahamas; Seas 4-6 feet over open waters.
