NASSAU, Bahamas -- Lyford Cay International School (LCIS) is pleased to host a public talk by Natalie Warne on April 27th at 7pm in the Rainforest Theater, Sheraton Cable Beach.

Natalie, a young but experienced speaker will be sharing her inspirational message that you are never too young to start changing the world. When she was 17, Natalie joined Invisible Children after seeing a film about the child soldiers and Joseph Kony in Uganda. She led a team to raise awareness in major cities throughout the United States, particularly Chicago where she set her sights on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Natalie and her team staged peaceful demonstrations outside the Oprah Studios until Oprah gave them airtime and the Invisible Children Film was made accessible to millions on a global scale. Natalie continued to work with Invisible Children for the next few years and is still closely connected to the organization. She will be talking about the recent Kony 2012 campaign but the main focus of her talk will be to encourage and inspire students to work hard for causes in which they believe.

Natalie's visit is part of the Lyford Cay International School's Speaker Series, designed to expose students to global events and ideas. LCIS has a special affinity for Uganda. For the past three summers students from LCIS have been visiting and working with Tentmakers Academy, a school for children displaced by AID's and war in Kampala, Uganda. The new interest in Uganda due to the Kony 2012 campaign has encouraged even more students to take an active interest in the region. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to Tentmakers Academy.
