By STAFFâ WRITER Guardian News Desk A judge yesterday sentenced a man and woman for their roles in the rape of a teenage girl. Christopher Archer and his girlfriend, Virginia Sands, pleaded guilty to the January 11, 2007 rape of the 16-year-old girl after Justice Vera Watkins rejected no-case-to-answer submissions. The girl, who is now 19, testified that she was at the Junkanoo Festival in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, with friends when Sands, her cousin, called her. She said she got into the vehicle with Sands and her boyfriend and they took her to Crossings Beach, where Sands forced her to perform oral sex on Archer. She said Archer aso penetrated her.
