A Night of Love

He's the crooner who has dropped hits like "The No Disturb Sign", "She Loves Me Now", "Rockaway" and "Sweet Lies" and he's back in town this weekend headlining the 25th annual Above the Rim Productions concert dubbed "A Night of Love".
Beres Hammond brings his famous soulful voice and lover's rock reggae style to the stage at the Wyndham Crystal Palace Hotel, and while he won't leave you speechless, because the crowd will definitely be singing along, they will be in awe. Coupled with R&B dynamo Joe and modern reggae legends like Grammy-award winning artist Beenie Man and Peetah and Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage, the "Night of Love" lineup is almost too hot to handle.
The concert rocks out for one night on Saturday, November 19, but tonight, a pre-party celebration jump starts the event at Mario's Bowling and Family Entertainment Palace at 8 p.m. with a mix of music from past "Night of Love" performers over the years, at an event that has been themed "A Night of Love: The Reunion Pre-party".
Old favorites like T.O.K., Red Rat, Mr. Lexxus, Notch and Tanto Metro & Devonte will "fan the flames" in preparation for Saturday's main event.
Added to the line-up this year are inspirational artists Landlord and Najie Dunn who both will bring the special element that defines this highly anticipated concert.
This concert is going to be one for the record books according to Charlotte "CeCe" Mitchell, public relations manager for Above the Rim Productions. She hopes that while people have a good time listening to the artists they also take heed of the message of love they will be sharing.
"I really hope people come out to have fun but I also hope they listen to the artists and understand the love and message of peace they are sharing," said Mitchell. "We also made an effort to put on events that would mean something, especially as it relates to what is happening in society [and] this is a perfect time to share the love."
A few changes to the concert hall layout have eliminated the general admission section, which means everyone will have a great view of the stage.

Organizers have also added more elements to the evening. Everyone has access to the lounge where there are sofas available and multiple bars. VIP and platinum ticket holders have more access to most things, and the double platinum ticket holders have even more privileges, including their own bar and raised seating near the stage. Plasma televisions showing the concert will be set up in the lounge, bar areas and even the bathrooms because they don't want patrons to miss a moment of the performances.
Tickets for the pre-party at are $25. Tickets for the concert are $50 VIP, $100 platinum and $200 double platinum, and can be purchased at Airbrush Junkies, Obsession Designs, the Reef Restaurant and Alpha Sounds.
