The New Providence Improvement and Infrastructure Project (NPIIP)

The Ministry of Public Works advises motorists of the following traffic diversions and road closures:

• Recently final layer of asphalt was completed on

o Robinson Road between 4th Street and East Street

o Eastbound carriage way of Robinson Road between Claridge Road and Cable Bahamas,

o and the Independence Roundabout.

• It is anticipated that Market Street between Brougham (Broom Street and Ross Corner and Baillou Hill Road South between the foot of the hill and Soldier Road will be paved with the first layer of asphalt shortly.

• Beginning Today February 22nd there will be lane closures and traffic diversion on Marathon Road between Ferguson Way north and south for approximately two weeks to facilitate final work on drainage infrastructure. Motorist should follow the posted traffic signs.

• On Thursday February 23rd there will be a one day closure on Market Street between White Road and Coconut Grove Avenue to facilitate the laying of the final layer of asphalt. Motorists should divert through White Road and follow posted traffic signs.

As usual local access to businesses and residents will be granted in all areas of work. Motorists are asked to adhere to the post traffic signs in construction areas.
