BHumane Banner Launch party was a huge success.

Tue, Feb 7th 2012, 01:01 PM

We had a fabulous turnout for Saturday's BHumane Banner Launch party at Government House. The food was excellent once again, and the Defence Force Band kept us entertained with lovely music. The in-house raffle that night brought in over $900. Congratulations to those who won prizes! The banners, our main reason for being there, were displayed and look amazing! Thank you to those who purchased banners. Please keep an eye out for them as they will be going up along the streets of New Providence within the next week. Thank you Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch for sponsoring this campaign.

(If you left a pair of caramel-y brown striped glasses behind, they're at the Shelter!)

If you were unable to purchase a banner (or even if you were), you will now be able to buy a collage of all the banner photos. Put together by Patricia Vazquez and printed at Mr. Photo, the collage is available at the Shelter for $30.00.

Thank you all so much for your continuing support.

Our next event is the BHS Animal Fun Day, sponsored by Pedigree, on Sunday, February 26th, 2012.

We really need some help for the Fun Day! If you want to know how YOU can help, please choose from the 3 following ways! You can, of course, choose more than one or all.

1. Volunteer at the booths (see info below).

2. Bring baked goods/food to the BHS Baked Goods stall.

3. Come out and support, enter your dog in the dog show - the entry form will be coming out later this week!

We need some volunteers to help in the following areas: Bean Bag Toss, Arts and Crafts, Tin Can Alley, Little Pup's Fun and Games, Fun Tattoos, Baked Goods Stall, help working the entrance gate, help selling raffle tickets and Try it out agility. The hours for the time slots are as follows: 12-2, 2-4, and 4-6. If you can help out, please specify the hours you are available. If there is a specific area you would like to help in, you can let us know and we will try to accomodate as best as possible.

Baked Goods! We would like to have a nice variety of baked goods - following is a list of ideas of what you could bring. Please let us know what you can bring so we do not end up with too much of one item. Also, since it is a Sunday, we would love to be able to sell some meals to take home like lasagne, chicken casserole, shepherd's pie, anything like that - vegetarian options are always appreciated too! If you can help with that, that would be AMAZING.
