FREEPORT - Three persons were arrested on Tuesday after police discovered and seized a quantity of drugs and over $20,000 in cash in a hotel room.

Asst Supt Loretta Mackey reported that Drug Enforcement Unit officers went to a local hotel around 8pm and executed a search warrant for suspected illegal drugs.

A male responded to the knock on the door. Officers searched the room and discovered a small quantity of suspected marijuana, along with $24,520 in US currency concealed in a box of Gain detergent.
