Funeral Services for Oscar Francis, age 76, of Thompson Court, Oakes Field, and formerly of Clarence Town, Long Island, will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10:45 a.m. Monsignor Alfred Culmer will officiate and interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Left to cherish the Christian ministry of service by Oscar are his wife: Marilyn Smith-Francis; 2 sons: Oscar Jr., and Dr. Brendan Francis; 2 daughters: Bridgette and Loretta Francis; 7 brothers: Roscoe, Marcian, Kenneth, Basil, Livingston, and Wendell Francis, Rev. Donald Kerr. 5 sisters: Lynn and Marietta Francis; Daphne Johnson-Kerr; Stephanie Kerr-Teele; Dorothea Francis-Davis. Sisters-in Law: Beatrice Powell, Leathe Francis, Velma Black, Millicent Smith, Majorie Alleyne, Rosayln Cartwright, Brenda Hanna, and Minerva Smith; Brothers-In Law: Sanford Johnson, Frederick Hanna, James Black, and Rudolph Alleyne; Nieces: Sonja Francis-Morris, Arlene Shuford, Sharece Murray, Lisa Nelson, Sian Bevans, Allison Shuford,  Anastacia Thompson, Monique Rolle, Lynette Daxon, Kahlia Knowles, Theodosuila Francis, Khamara Francis, Sophie Francis, Diana Francis, Patricia and Janae Francis, Kenrah Newry, and Wende Francis; Nephews: Stephen, Gerald, Corey, Brian, Tyrone, Gilbert, Carvel, Trevor, Sidney, Franklyn, Rodari, Omar, Mario, and Michan Francis, Renaldo Johnson, and Ashley Jones. Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 10-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
