REPORTS reaching the Tribune indicate that police are investigating an armed robbery at the PACE school.
The SWAT unit was deployed shortly after 11 am after police received a call that there was a robbery underway and a possible kidapping.
However, upon arrival, the suspect and alleged victims had already cleared the premises, police say.
Officers at the scene have confirmed that all five occupants within the special learning centre for pregnant teens at the time of the robbery have been accounted for.
The school is located at Central Gospel Chapel on Dowdeswell and Christie Streets.
