Extra Boats For RBDF

FREEPORT - National Security Minister Tommy Turnquest said the government is committed to the acquisition of 11 mid- to long-range vessels for the Royal Bahamas Defence Force over the next five years.

He said the additional boats will improve the force's effectiveness and efficiency, and enable more frequent patrols - limiting or even eliminating the threat from drug smugglers and other criminals in Bahamian waters.
