A teenage girl has accused a distant female relative of forcing her to have sex with a man. Virginia Sands and her boyfriend, Christopher Archer, are on trial for the January 11, 2007 rape of the girl when she was 16.
Sands and Archer denied the allegation when their trial opened before Supreme Court Justice Vera Watkins yesterday.
The girl, who is now 19, testified that she was at the Junkanoo Festival in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, with friends when Sands called her.
