After speaking with officers at the Central Police Station, BahamasLocal.com can say that it is true that there is a fire on Bay Street this morning.
The fire is said to be focused in an area that includes the old Straw Market (The Tent).
Claims that the entire world famous Pompey Museum is gone can not be confirmed at this time.
