BAHAMASAIR is seeing European travellers account for up to 20 per cent of its loads coming out of south Florida, part of a significant increase in tourist traffic travelling from or through the US.

Deputy General manager, Van Diah, told Tribune Business that the national flag carrier was recording heavy load factors into, as well as out of, south Florida for the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season.

"It's been a good season so far for Bahamasair," Mr Diah said. "We have seen increased loads from as early as Tuesday, and they got heavier as we moved closer to Friday.
