Thanksgiving Art Show is the place where local artists shine

The Freeport News: The Grand Bahama Artists Association held its 3rd annual Thanksgiving Art Show at the Rand Nature Center's Glory Banks Gallery Thursday night giving local and international artists a platform to showcase their work.

Public relations director, Del Foxton said the association was pleased with the turnout of locals and visitors for the event and the exposure artists received.

"These exhibitions that we put on in Grand Bahama are definitely an opportunity for local artists to have their work shown. That is probably one of the biggest mandates that we have because it is difficult as an artist to have your work seen when you are first starting out," she said...
