Hundreds of Anglicans gathered yesterday at the Christ Church Cathedral on George Street for a church service to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Anglican Diocese and the City of Nassau. Politicians, dignitaries and prominent members of civil society were all in attendance at the church service, which was followed by a procession to Rawson Square where Bishop of the Diocese of the Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands, Laish Boyd blessed the City of Nassau during a surprise display of fireworks.
