DNA Announces New Candidates At Street Meeting

Fri, Nov 4th 2011, 10:43 AM

The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) is prepared to deliver our message of REAL CHANGE for ONE BAHAMAS to every Bahamian in every community. In that manner, we have hosted a “Street Meeting” on Thursday November 3 at the corner of East St. and Hay St. This meeting also provided the opportunity to announce five more dynamic candidates that are listed below.

The DNA is prepared to lead The Bahamas in a new direction by denouncing the
partisan politics that have divided our country for too long. We are rejecting the party lines that divide us to embrace the country ties that unite us. So we have encouraged all Bahamians, regardless of party affiliation, to join us at the Street Meeting to take back the country we all love.

As our party leader and Bamboo Town Member of Parliament, Branville McCartney said: “Our challenges are great, but the spirit of the Bahamian people unites us to be even greater.”

When repeatedly asked why the DNA must run now? Why we can’t wait? McCartney has declared: “The moment is too urgent and the obstacles are too great for us to simply do what we have always done.”

So we hosted this Meeting to re-ignite the fearless Bahamian spirit that has been dampened by this time of hardship. To the Bahamian people: We are greater than our challenges; we can achieve REAL CHANGE for ONE BAHAMAS and we can do it NOW!

Candidates announced:
• Kendall Smith - Fox Hill
• Maurice Smith - St. Thomas Moore
• Prince Smith - St. Anne’s
• William Hunt - South Eleuthera
• Celi Moss - Farm Road & Centerville
