Actors, singers and dancers -- this weekend is for you.  Pia Rolle, founder of PTG Modeling Agency will host talent auditions at Mario's Bowling and Family Entertainment Palace on Saturday, October 22 on behalf of International Talent Showcase (ITS).

"A national scout from International Talent Showcase (ITS) is searching for people interested in breaking into acting, dancing, singing and modelling internationally.  We're searching on behalf of casting directors, agents, scouts, producers and record labels from around the U.S. for adults and children," says Rolle.

"Successful candidates will participate in the 2012 International Talent Showcase in Boca Raton, Florida, which will take them one step closer in getting their dreams realized."  Auditions start at 2 p.m.

Bahamians have successfully auditioned and gone to do well in competition in Florida.  Chase Carter competed and returned home with the overall female fashion model, teen commercial, teen swimsuit and family runway award from this year's competition.  Other Bahamians who have done well include David Maycock, Sy'Rai Butler, Anshena Johnson, Maya Sturrup, Jessica Thompson, Robyn Campbell and Vanessa Leach.

As she scouts for new talent, Rolle urges all hopefuls to dress to impress and bring a recent photograph of themselves.  Dancers will have to bring their own music and player.  Persons auditioning under the age of 18 have to be accompanied by a parent.

The auditions are free.  Rolle urges anyone who believes they have talent to participate and give their best.  She says they may surprise themselves.

"Come out and give it your best," says Rolle. "You may be surprised at your own ability and who would be interested in your talent.  Even if you are an older person and have never fulfilled your dreams, this is an opportunity for you as well.

Those people not making it past the auditions Rolle says should be encouraged because she will be putting on classes and training sessions in the future to prepare them to hone their talents.

People not interested in the talent search but who just want to register for modeling and deportment, etiquette, runway or acting classes with PTG Modeling agency, can register for classes that start in November.  Classes are for people 10 years and older.

Karolyn Burrows, 20, a dancer, hopes to take advantage of this weekend's auditions in order to see how far she can take her art.

"When I saw the ad for the auditions I just felt this tugging in my heart to participate.  I haven't danced seriously in years, but I have been practicing the last few weeks to get myself back in shape.  I feel a bit out of shape but in a way it's like a bicycle, you never really forget.  This weekend I totally hope to give it my all.  I just may make it and who knows how far I can go from there," she says.

Aspiring singer, David Miller dreams of being able to reach the status of stars like Whitney Houston or Celine Dion. The 18-year-old has been singing for as long as he can remember and says he is ready to take on the challenge.

"I am confident I can sing well but now I have to show others that I can.  I really dream of becoming a big star one day.  I am so excited and I really hope to blow the competition away. This is going to be amazing."
