Funeral service for Bernice Sturrup, 80 yrs., a resident of Arundel Street East & formerly of Mangrove Cay, Andros, who died on 3rd October, 2011, will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Montrose Avenue, on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Archdeacon Kingsley Knowles, asisted by Father Andrew Toppin & Deacon Whitfield Hutchinson. Interment follows in Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road.
Left to cherish her memories are her Daughters: Mrs. Delores Sturrup-Carter, Willamae Sturrup, Mrs. Shirley Sturrup- Travis, Edith Sturrup. Sons: Charles B. Sturrup Jr., Edwin C. Sturrup, George P. Sturrup, Tyrone A. Sturrup, Pedro D. Sturrup. Adopted Son: Harry Gardiner. Grand-daughters: Mrs. Suna C. Sturrup-Adderley, Melinda Carter, Duranda Carter, D'Addra C. Sturrup, Georgia Sturrup, Mrs. D'Xtira Sturrup-Brown, Prescola Rolle, Tyrese Sturrup, Kaneisha Sturrup, Krishna Wright, Kadavi Nicolas, Veronica Bowe. Grand-sons: Delrick Carter, Edwin N. Sturrup, Bruno Carter, Ludvick Sturrup, Erwin Sturrup, Tyron Sturrup. Great-Grand Daughters: Durante Steino, Khashja Adderley, Ronnaisa & Ronnisha Johns on, Cordia Nixon, Faith & Lavette Sturrup, Edwinette & Edwinique Sturrup, Bruneisha & Elgadra Carter, Sky Beer-Carter. Great-Grand Sons: Lamont Sturrup, Rondino Dean Jr, Rajah C. Brown. Nieces: Cherry Seymour-Deveaux, Delisa Forbes-Clarke (Freeport, GB), Bianca & Ruthmae Walkes. Nephews: Norman Thompson, Ronald Storr (Coco, FL). GrandNieces: Barbara Glinton-Morris, Patricia & Monique Glinton. Grand-Nephew: Navardo Glinton. Daughter-in-law: Sandra Johnson-Sturrup. Grand-Son-in-law: Kevin Dana Adderley, Raymond Brownof Charlotte, NC. Sister-in-law: Mrs. Daisy Sturrup-Evans (Opalocka, Florida). Friends may pay their last respects at Demerite's Funeral Home, Market Street, on Friday from 12-3:00 p.m. & at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
