Apple Inc. said the company's co-founder Steve Jobs died Wednesday. He was just only 56 years old.

"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," the company said in a brief statement.

"Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve."

 

Steve Jobs was the co-founder,  chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc.Steve jobs was also stated as being the creator of the Ipod.

Steve is listed as either primary inventor or co-inventor in 338 US patents or patent applications related to a range of technologies from actual computer and portable devices to user interfaces (including touch-based), speakers, keyboards, power adapters, staircases, clasps, sleeves, lanyards and packages

Steve Jobs is also the largest shareholder in Walt Disney and is a member of Disney's Board of Directors.
