Are Pastors Practicing What They Preach

Men can eat the most fattening foods day in and day out, bravely face an adversary and hunt wild animals.  But when it comes to taking care of their prostate health, they falter.  Many men may be turned off from ever getting a prostate examination due to the procedure, but many ministers of the word say that is not the time to be affraid.

And many church leaders have set up programs and given sermons to promote prostate cancer check-ups for male parishioners, but as the saying goes, "Don't just tell me, show me."  With this in mind, The Nassau Guardian asked several religious leaders if they have set a good example and are practicing what they preach during this Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
