Bruno Mars Atlantis Performance Far From Lazy

If you have doubts that Grammy Award winning artist Bruno Mars is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, and musician, then you must not have attended his first performance here in The Bahamas last weekend.
The musical sensation was far from lazy when he rocked the stage last Saturday at the Atlantis LIVE concert series with summer hits "The Lazy Song", "Grenade" and "Lighters", along with many other popular hits from his album "Doo-wops and Hooligans".
In the artist's Biography on his official fan page, Mars says the best way to experience his sound is to see him perform live with his band -- and he is absolutely right.
Atlantis' spacious Imperial Ballroom was filled to capacity with screaming fans of all ages, and yes, I am not ashamed to say that I was one of them.
Mothers and daughters yelled Bruno's name, fathers sang along, and lovers held each other close while they rocked to the sounds of "Just The Way You Are" and "Nothing On You".
Mars' sultry sound, swinging dance moves and entertaining band members kept the crowd rocking throughout the entire performance.  He and his band also made a connection with the large audience by sharing jokes, stories and talking about their experience in The Bahamas between songs.  Based on the energy in the room and the comments from the many residents and visitors who attended the performance, the show was a total success.
A mother visiting from Virginia brought her two daughters and son to the show.  She said she enjoyed the show so much that she jokingly told her youngest daughter that she was leaving her father and marrying Bruno Mars.  Her daughter's response was, "Okay, well that's fine as long as he sings to us all the time."
A Bahamian fan expressed how much she enjoyed the show on Mars' fan page.  "Overall an excellent performance. I danced , I sang, I lost my voice where I screamed so much but it's all good because it was totally worth it! The Bahamas LOVES YOU!!!"
Another fan simply posted, "Sooo worth it!"  But the show did have one downfall: it was not long enough.
The show began promptly at 9:30pm and Mars exited the stage around 10:35, leaving his fans wanting more and chanting for an encore -- and that's just what we got.
The lights dimmed, the band started playing again and Bruno Mars was back on stage. The crowd went wild.
Mars sang one last song, a tribute to the recently deceased British pop singer Amy Winehouse with his version of the song "Valerie".
The doo-wop hooligan Bruno Mars -- complete with his favorite accessory, his guitar, and of course his dancing, horn-blowing, drum-beating full band -- gave the audience a high-energy performance that fans are sure to remember for years to come.
