12 noon - Tropical Storm Colin formed earlier this morning and is moving quickly across the Atlantic.
At noon, the centre of Tropical Storm Colin was located near latitude 14.2 North and longitude 49.5 West or about 840 miles east-southeast of the Leeward Islands.
Colin is moving toward the west at 24 MPH and a turn toward the west-northwest is expected over the next few days.
On this forecast track, the centre of Tropical Storm Colin should pass to the northeast and north of the Leeward Islands late Wednesday and early Thursday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 MPH with higher gusts and slow strengthening is expected over the next 48 hours.
