Police have filed a murder charge against two suspects in the shooting death of Alexander Hepburn.
Carlos Colebrooke, 23, of Williams Street, Nassau Village, and Geovanny Lefleur, 20, of Hope Gardens, appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez yesterday accused of the August 5 murder of Hepburn, who was also known as "Boy Blue".
Hepburn, 30, was drinking a beer in front of a bar on Alexandria Boulevard, Nassau Village when a gunman shot him in the head.
Colebrooke and Lefleur did not have to enter pleas to the murder charge.  Prosecutors plan to commit the case to the Supreme Court for trial on September 27.
Gomez said he would recommend that prison officials keep the men in the remand center after lawyer Geoffrey Farquharson raised concerns about their safety.
According to Farquharson, Hepburn has relatives in the maximum security unit of the prison who have made threats against the men.
