Backpacks can cause back problems

NOW that school is set to open in just a matter of weeks, Dr Jacqueline Lightbourn of A Better Back Chiropractic Center, is bringing to light the detrimental affect heavy loaded school bags can have on the development of a child's muscular system.

Dr Lightbourn said the weight of your child's backpack can determine if he or she could have chronic back problems in the future.

"There are different ways you can get symptoms. You can get back pain, shoulder pain, and lower back pain. But also you can start destroying the muscular system because that is at the developmental age around 13 to16 years, so you do not want to destroy the growth of it ...
