A funeral service for Mercedes Emily Ferguson, 84, a resident of Huyler Street and formerly of Arthur's Town Cat Island, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6th, 2011 at St John's Baptist Cathedral, Meeting Street. Officiating will be Bishop Michael C Symonette, assisted by Rev Reginald Ferguson and Pastor Marina P Sands.  Interment will be made in Church Cemetery.

Left to cherish her memories are: her son Bradley Ferguson; daughter Veronica Ferguson; ten grandchildren: Kipplin, Ednal, Valentino, Shanika, O'Neal, Bradnishka, Candy, Demeko, Robert and Cyrell; and nine great grandchildren Kipplin Jr., Khawan, Kalelin, Brittney, Shameka, Rashawn, Omega. One brother Preston King; two sisters- in- law: Gertrude and Laura Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews including: Idamae Duncombe, Vernice Dorsette, Carmel Nottage, Angela Sands, Judy Burtler, Stephanie Martin, Cleomie Burrows, Denise Ferguson, Paula King, Edris Miller, Mavis, Johnamae, Rosalie Miller, Jennie Ferguson, Drucilla Kemp, Alexander Williams, Tyrone and Frank Williams, Janice Dean (of Washington D.C.), Rozelda LeCroix of Freeport Grand Bahama, Paula Williams, James Colebrooke, Cyril and Ozzie Miller, Charles Butler, Ronald Miller, Keith King. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home, Robinson Road and First Street on Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and on Saturday at the Cathedral from 9 a.m. until service time.
