Nassau, The Bahamas - Dr. Merle Lewis of the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) visited the Ministry of the Environment July 25, tosay goodbye, as she moves to another assignment in the region. Minister Earl Deveaux thanked Dr. Lewis for her work in upgrading the Department of Environmental Health Services inspection database to a computerised tracking system that offers information on burgeoning disease epidemics that would threaten and negatively impact the Bahamian tourist industry.
