Verdict likely in Harl Taylor murder case Monday

The jury did not deliver a verdict in the retrial of Troyniko McNeil yesterday as expected. Senior Justice Jon Isaacs was supposed to turn the case over to the jury but could not because he was ill.

The jury is now expected to deliberate on Monday.

Prosecutors allege that McNeil, 24, the son of Taylor's former business partner Troy McNeil, stabbed the noted handbag designer up to 50 times at his apartment at Mountbatten House on West Hill Street between November 17 and 18 2007.

DNA analyst Kevin Noppinger said he found a mixture of Taylor's and McNeil's blood on the murder weapon, which was found on the scene. Noppinger ...
