The Crown is expected on Monday to wrap up its case in the trial of two brothers accused of murdering Mario Miller.

Mario Miller was found brutally stabbed to death in bushes near Super Value in Winton on June 22, 2002. According to reports, Miller was stabbed 18 times about the body.

On Wednesday, prosecutor Neil Brathwaite called one witness to the stand ? Samuel Munroe, an auto mechanic.

Mr. Munroe said on the day before the murder, Ryan and Ricardo Miller (also known as Tamar Lee), who are accused of Mario?s murder, came to purchase a car from him in the Carmichael Road area.

Mr. Munroe, who is the neighbour of Nadia Rolle ? Ryan?s ex-girlfriend, who has already testified ? said that was the second time they approached him about purchasing the vehicle.

He said the brothers also came to see him the day after the murder, at which time he claimed to have noticed a cut on Ricardo?s hand.

Rolle has already testified that she saw a cut on Ricardo?s hand on the day of the murder, which she said her then boyfriend Ryan told her came from a fight that they had supposedly tried to part.

Mr. Munroe said this time he did sell the car. However, the brothers gave him "a block of cocaine" as payment.

He added that on that day the brothers wanted him to sign over the car in Ryan?s name. He said he did not do so.

Mr. Munroe said instead he told his insurance company to cease his coverage.

However, during cross-examination, Ramona Farquharson who is representing Ryan, pointed out to Mr. Munroe that he made a statement to police on July 2, 2002 saying that he signed over the insurance to Ryan Miller.

Mr. Munroe agreed with that suggestion.

Ricardo Miller is being represented by Romauld Ferreira.

The case is expected to continue on Monday before Supreme Court Justice Stephen Isaacs at 10am.
