A funeral service for Robert Alonzo Douglas, 48, a resident of Market Street & John Road, who passed away on 4th June, 2011, will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, Meeting Street, on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.  Officiating will be Rev. Timothy Stewart, assisted by other Ministers of the Gospel.  Interment follows in Old Trail Cemetery, Abundant Life Road. Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Linda Douglas; mother: Lulie Douglas-Mackey; adopted mother: Doris Gomez; four stepchildren: Keva Gottlieb, Lakeisha Sweeting; Ronald Albury and Randy Henfield; 10 sisters: Rozena Douglas, Sylvia Rolle, Cassandra Saunders, Bridgette Taylor, Roseanna, Claritta, Christine, Sheryl, Remelda & Marsha Mackey; five sisters-in-law: Vivian Mackey, Deloris Storr, Viola Carey, Marvis & Anitia Douglas; five brothers: Holman Storr, Stephen Douglas, Carl, Samuel and Marcus Mackey; two brothers-in-law: Ronald Rolle and Kendrick Taylor; one aunt: Esther Douglas; 30 nieces, 25 nephews; adopted sisters: Denise Reckley, Phillippa Reckley, Andersy Cox, Shawnte' Smith, Nicolas Smith; godson: Taverest Vandiver Reckley; a host of other relatives & friends: Charles Moxey-Reckley, Jauna Cabrera, Mavis Vanderpool and family, Joseph Butler and family, Ethlyn Franks and family, Derek Musgrove and family, Yvette Harvey and family, Basil McIntosh and family, Leonie Moultrie and family, Janice Davis and family, Earl Henfield and family, Carlos Delgado and family, Rudolph Douglas and family, Derek Gibson and family, the Brown family, the Henchell sisters, Hilda Bartlett and family of New York, Leona Tookes and family of Detroit Michigan, Donald Jobson and family of Jamaica, Linda Knowles and family of Freeport, Grand Bahama, Brenda Fountain-Hampdan and family of North Carolina, Percy Duncombe, Percy Rolle, Bimini friends, the entire Yamacraw neighbours, the entire John Road community and many others too numerous to mention. Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 10-6:00 p.m. on Friday, and on Saturday from 9-1:00 p.m. & at the church from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
