FUNERALl SERVICES for the late Benjamin Joseph Ferguson of Tropical Gardens/Golden Gates #1 and formerly of Brown, Crooked Island will be held on Saturday at New Bethany Baptist Church, Key West Street at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Bishop Victor Cooper Jr., J.P. assisted by other ministers of the Gospel. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum.
Mr. Ferguson was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 55 years Mrs. Merletha Eliza Ferguson and his eldest son Godfrey B. Ferguson and daughter Sharon Joy Ferguson.
Indelible memories are left on the hearts of his children: Winston and Chief Petty Officer Lloyd Nelson Ferguson, Joan Clarke, Yvonne Cooper, Beverly Ferguson and Rose Morrison; 4 sisters:  Vera Ferguson, Irene Ferguson, Estella Cox and Florence Lewis; 1 Brother: Laban Ferguson; 1 Son-in-law: Oswald Morrison; 2 Daughters-in-law: Althea and Janet Ferguson; 1 Brother-in-law: Nehemiah Moss of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; 3 sisters-in-law: Naomi Munnings, Elizabeth Adderley, Beulah McPhee, Tristina Ferguson,  Edna Ferguson, and Barbara Moss; 15 Grand-children: Raquel Kellman, Jerrett, Shakera and Ryan Clarke, Ashley (Red) Williams, Sasha Ferguson, Cherita Cooper, Jasmin, Jade, and Emerald Ferguson, Rashad Ferguson, Adam Miller, Chad Woodside, Tyler and Tarah-Rose Morrison; 6 Great-Grandchildren: Kevin Kellman, Jahvaughn Clarke, Devonte and Darren Clarke, Alia Pitt, and Sapphire Clarke; A host of other relatives and friends including: Reverend Franklyn and Sister Katie Clarke, Reverend Wendell Lewis, Minister Marion Sturrup, Lorraine Moss, Sharon Farringtion, New Bethany Baptist Church Family, The Men Fellowship, The Usher Board, Brother Major, Brother Jones, Elder Kendal Darling, Deacon Cornelius Cooper, Victor Cooper Sr. Dr. John Lunn & his staff, The staff of Oncology Princess Margaret Hospital, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Ferguson, Mr. & Mrs. Donald Knowles, Mr. & Mrs. Fulton Bain, Mr. Hershel Collie, Reverend Randolph Beneby, Mrs. Heastie, Nathalie Bruno, Mr. Willie Dawkins, Mr. Altman Bonimy, Sisal Road, Golden Gates Family, Ms. Diggis and Ms Johnson & Royal Eagle Lodge #1 and a host of other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Evergreen Mortuary, Mackey Street South on Thursday from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.; on Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.
