Thanks to sponsors like Bank of The Bahamas, it was a record year in riders and fund-raising for Ride for Hope, the organisation created to fund and support cancer education, research, prevention and treatment. According to Stephen Holowesko (centre with white cap), riders and their sponsors helped raise more than $400,000 during the April event in Eleuthera with more participants than ever completing the 100-mile course. On Saturday, part of BOB's team of 16, was on hand in Nassau for the official cheque presentation. The bank donated $12,160, some $10,000 from BOB and another $2,160 from rider sponsorships or individual staff contributions.
