The Government of Barbados through its Tourist Board is planning a big sports extravaganza week for this coming November.
Roosevelt King, the Barbados representative on the Commonwealth Boxing Council’s Board of Directors, had exciting news for his colleagues at a recent Interim Meeting in London. He informed that his country is poised to have a week of activities that will revolve around the annual general meeting of the Council.
If plans unfold as expected, Barbados will be the first Caribbean nation to host a Council AGM. The Bahamas, at its High Commission in London, hosted the 2009 Interim Meeting.
