Two phases of a five-phase plan commenced yesterday at the groundbreaking site of the Queen's Elizabeth Sports Centre Redevelopment Project as the country looks to transform the complex into a first-class facility which organisers insist will become the "envy of the region."
With the $30-million Thomas A Robinson National Stadium at the hub of the project and entering the final stage of construction, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, in conjunction with IBS and IBI Management, announced the start of work on the surrounding 450-acre plot at the contract and groundbreaking ceremony yesterday.
