Girl injured in Atlantis accident dies

A five-year-old Canadian girl who was injured while at a water park at the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island earlier this week died at Doctors Hospital yesterday morning, as her parents prepared to airlift her out of the country, officer in charge of the Central Division Chief Superintendent Emerick Seymour confirmed.
The unidentified girl was reportedly on vacation with her parents when the tragedy occurred.
“We can confirm that there was, unfortunately, a drowning incident in our water park on Monday involving a five-year-old girl,” said a spokesperson for the resort.
