Nassau, Bahamas - Miss Lucky Restaurant Sasha Joyce became the first Semifinalist of the
2011 Miss Bahamas beauty pageant on Sunday afternoon, and luck had
nothing to do with it. The 5? 9? former Carifta athlete slaughtered her
competition during the Nautilus Sportswoman challenge to become the
first contestant to be fast tracked into the semifinals.

This
competition was not about the fairest or the finest, but it was a
surivival of the fittest as the contestants competed in a fun but
challenging track and field competition. Under the watchful eyes of
executives from the Bahamas Association of Certified Officials, the
ladies competed in five disciplines: 200 meters, shot put, discus, high
