Two men murdered following stabbing, shooting incidents

The murder rate climbed to 28 for the year yesterday morning after a man was stabbed to death by a group of men, and another male was shot to death in a separate incident last night police reported yesterday.
The first victim, who has yet to be identified by police, collapsed at the junction of Fourth Street and Palm Tree Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday, police press liaison officer Sergeant Chrislyn Skippings said.
According to preliminary police reports, when police responded to the scene of the crime they discovered the body of a male wearing a blue jeans pants with multiple stab wounds to the body.
