"30 Long Serving BTC Employees Recognized"

Thirty-one employees were honoured for their service to BTC last Thursday. The event, which took place at Government House recognized team members that have served the company for over thirty five years.

CEO Leon Williams thanked the thirty one employees noting, “As a company we are ever grateful for your years of service and sacrifice. You have seen technology advance over the years and you have done your part to ensure that we have delivered service to the entire country.”

Her Excellency, Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas presented the thirty one team members with the Blue Crystal award. Mr. Williams also thanked, Her Excellency, for the former late Prime Minister Sir. Lynden Pindling’s vision to incorporate BaTelCo in 1966. “As a result of BaTelCo’s incorporation fifty years ago, the country saw its first Bahamian General Manager.

Recognized team members came from all over the country including Bimini, Crooked Island and Grand Bahama to attend this prestigious event. Mrs. Ethel Bartlett-Laing, Senior Manager for Enterprise and Marketing in Grand Bahama is currently BTC’s longest serving team member.

BTC recognized the contributions of thirty one of its employees last Thursday at its Long Service Awards Ceremony at Government House. Her Excellency, Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor General of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas presented the awards.
