GENERAL SITUATION: A cold front over Central Florida will move into the Northwest Bahamas Friday morning and merge with a quasi-stationary front. Cold front will become stationary near the Southeast Bahamas early Sunday as strong high pressure over the Eastern United States builds southeastward while producing fresh to strong breezes over the area.

Friday 09th – Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in vicinity of the front across the NW Bahamas through nightfall. Partly sunny and warm elsewhere turning fair at night. Max Temperature 82°F and Min Temperature 72°F. Small craft caution for the NW Bahamas and a caution for the Central Bahamas by late afternoon. Winds N to NE at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas, E’ly at 5 to 10 knots in the Central Bahamas turning NE to E at 15 to 20 knots by afternoon and NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 7 feet in the NW Bahamas, 1 to 3 feet in the Central Bahamas building to 4 to 6 feet late and 2 to 4 feet over the SE Bahamas.

Saturday 10th – Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly across the NW and Central Bahamas through the night. Mostly sunny and warm in the SE Bahamas turning fair at night. Max Temperature 78°F and Min Temperature 68°F. Small craft should stay near port in the NW Bahamas and a caution in the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds NE’ly at 25 to 30 knots in the NW Bahamas, E’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas but increasing to 15 to 20 knots later and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots for the SE Bahamas. Seas 8 to 11 feet in the NW Bahamas, 2 to 4 feet in the Central Bahamas building to 4 to 6 feet later and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Sunday 11th –Mostly cloudy to overcast across the NW and Central Bahamas with scattered showers and thunderstorms through nightfall, but partly cloudy and warm in the SE Bahamas. Max Temperature 80°F and Min Temperature 72°F.Small craft advisory in effect for all areas. Winds N to NE at 20 to 25 knots over all areas with seas at 6 to 9 feet over the ocean.

Monday 12th – Partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW and Central Bahamas through early morning, but partly cloudy and breezy elsewhere as clouds and showers remain over NW Bahamas at night. Max Temperature 82°F and Min Temperature 74°F. Small craft advisory for all areas in the morning but transitions into a caution for all areas by afternoon . Winds E’ly at 20 knots and seas 5 to 8 feet for all areas in the morning but more SE’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas and easterly at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas with seas 4 to 6 feet for all areas.
/br> Tuesday 13th – Partly cloudy with few scattered showers in the NW and Central Bahamas in the morning but turning fair by nightfall. Max Temperature 83°F and Min Temperature 74°F. Small craft caution for the SE Bahamas. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas decreasing late to 15 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas, decreasing to 3 to 5 feet late.

Wednesday 14th – Mostly sunny and warm over most areas and fair and mild at night, except for cloudy periods with scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms near the Extreme NW Bahamas. Max Temperature 83°F and Min Temperature 74°F. Small craft caution continues for the SE Bahamas. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots early, but decreasing to 10 to 15 knots late. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas but 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas, decreasing to 2 to 4 feet late.

Beachgoers and mariners should exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of rip currents and rough surf, especially along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories. Winds and seas will be higher in heavy showers or thunderstorms.
