Do you always have to be right

My friend, the title of today's article contains an extremely important question that I'd like you to ponder for a while and then answer truthfully, do you always have to be right? Well do you? Now you may answer that question like this -- well D. Paul, you know what, I usually am right. With all due respects, that's not the question I asked you, are you always right? The question I posed to you was do you always have to be right? Now please answer that question.

Now if per chance upon reflection the answer for you is indeed in the affirmative, I suggest that you have a problem, and the problem is that you have low self-esteem. That's right, the people who have to be right all of the time and basically proclaim that they're right whilst they don't have a clue as to what you're talking about, are people who because of their low self-esteem can't bear to be wrong, as they wish to control one and all as they loudly proclaim their superiority in a most arrogant way.

You know, it is the really humble people who have no problem whatsoever in admitting their mistakes, and admitting that they are fallible and thus do not know it all yet. Of course as Dr. Denis Waitley states quite clearly in his bestseller "The Psychology of Winning", only those people with high self-esteem can afford to be humble." This is absolutely correct. So if you always have to be right, you really need to get some professional counseling to check out the cause of your low self-esteem.

Let's face it, we're all fallible, we all make mistakes, and of course if we don't, if we're perfect in every way, well then, we need to prepare ourselves for departure from planet earth forthwith. Please don't be afraid to admit your mistakes, for it's a sure sign of your humility, commonsense, and high level of self-worth.
