The Great American Variety Show features comedy, magic, illusions and acrobatics.

"America's Got Talent" Is NBC's top-rated summer series, which has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing unique performers. The series is a celebration of creativity and talent, featuring singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians, ventriloquists and hopeful stars all vying to win America's heart and the $1 million prize. And now "The Great American Variety Show" starring performers as seen on "America's Got Talent will bring their amazing acts to the stage at the Atlantis.

From a high reaching aerialist, to a rolo-bolo performer, death-defying chair-stacking act, a hilarious ventriloquist, a comedian and an amazing bird act will be the highlights of "The Great American Variety Show" according to Angelo Hart, director of guest activities at Atlantis.

"You don't want to miss this show," said Hart. "It's really good. It will include some of the most exciting acts that have been on 'America's Got Talent'. Collectively, they're going to be amazing."

Can't decide on whether you'd like a night of comedy, magic or thrills -- well, with "The Great American Variety Show" you can see it all on one stage.

The show that replaces the Rob Lake illusionist show will open on November 20 and run until December 1, take a two-week hiatus and return December 18 and run to January 12.

Hart and his team scoured the United States taking in a variety of different shows to see what exciting show they would bring next to the public. He said "The Great American Variety Show" satisfies Atlantis' desire to move in another direction, and give people a taste of something different.

"I actually went to see the show, amongst other shows and it was a fantastic show. I loved it. The crowd loved it. There were children there ... grandparents there. It's a show for everybody, and if offers a little something for everybody which is why I think it's perfect for Atlantis and also the local community."

Hart said this one-of-a-kind show is one people should not miss, and fans of "America's Got Talent" will want to take in.
"I'm sure they've watched the acts on television, but in person it's more lively and in your face. And you can see the acts up close and personal in an intimate environment at Atlantis."

During its run, "The Great American Variety Show" performers will take to the stage five nights a week, Sunday through Thursday at 8 p.m. nightly.

"I am extremely excited. I was an integral part of the Rob Lake show and this is a completely different show. When I first saw the show I was over the moon, and so happy that we were able to lock it down and bring it to Atlantis," said Hart.

With the show's run time factored in at one hour, the director of guest activities said families also have the time to take in dinner either before or after the show, or visit the Marina Village.

Hart said Atlantis is looking at bringing a number of other shows to the Atlantis stage, but that they haven't sealed the deals as yet.

"We are always looking to bring something different to the island, so expect bigger news coming soon," he said.

"The Great American Variety Show" will be held in the Atlantis Theatre. Tickets are $39.50-plus VAT adults, $9.50-plus VAT children ages three to 11, children under three years old are free.
