Caribbean Bottling Company Launches, Think Pink!

This October, Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC) the local producers of Coca-Cola products, launched its first ‘Think Pink’, Breast Cancer Awareness promotion. This month long promotion is designed as a give-back based on CBC’s sales of the popular Powerade brand. For every cases of Powerade sold, CBC has committed to donate $2 to the Sister Sister organization. The campaign was launched in New Providence, Grand Bahama, and Turks and Caicos.

“As a company, we understand that Breast Cancer is the most common form of cancer amongst women in the Bahamas, as a matter of fact in our region,” stated Sasha Pratt, marketing coordinator for Caribbean Bottling Company. “Therefore, when we had the opportunity to start a breast cancer initiative, we couldn’t think of a better way to help then a give-back promotion.”

CBC, partnered with the Sister Sister Organization with the, “Think Pink”, campaign. For every case of PowerAde sold, $2 would be donated to the organization; aiming to sell over 700 cases!

Mrs. Andrea Sweeting, head sister of the organization, expressed her gratitude to the company by calling it a “gift to their group”, and also stating that, “she accepts the generous consideration to give the group a donation from your October sales….it is most appreciated.”

Caribbean Bottling Company, also worked along with CIBC’s Soca for the Cure, Walk for the Cure, and Mario’s Paint the Lane Pink, who also had initiatives to support Breast Cancer Awareness. At these event, participants were hydrated with both PowerAde and Dasani and given information about the, “Think Pink” campaign.

To show our appreciation to customers that supported, we gave bumper stickers, pink cups and key chains, branded with PowerAde and the infamous pink Breast Cancer Ribbon.

Staff also showed their support, by making a donation to Sister Sister and receiving a PowerAde shirt to show their support.

“All of this wouldn’t have been possible, without the help of DigiPrint and Signs”, states Ms. Pratt. “They were a great help in providing all of printed material, which also was a great support.”

As the month of October nears its end, CBC hopes to exceed our expectations, and will continue to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness!
